Clarissa Arthur

A young mother at 17, Clarissa has never let anything stand in the way of her goals. With over 20 years of experience in the social service sector, she brings immense value. As Executive Director of the Education Foundation of Ottawa (EFO), she oversees all operations of the Foundation, which works to reduce barriers to learning and wellness for Ottawa-Carleton District School Board students in need.

In 2022, 100 ABC Women recognized Clarissa as one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women. She takes great pride in her contributions to the Ottawa community, where she increases awareness of children’s health and wellness as Chair of the Ottawa Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Task Group.

With a passion for inspiring others, Clarissa co-authored The Gratitude Effect Journal, a 100-day journal designed to help individuals embrace the life they deserve. She continues to use her voice and expertise to advocate for youth, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to succeed—while inspiring others to do the same!
