Faduma Mohamed

Hi I’m Faduma Yusuf, I’m an educator, a writer and a mother.

I believe that all learners have the right to quality education in an environment that celebrates their individuality and fosters their leadership skills.

The world is expanding at a rate faster than any of us could have imagined, which means it’s crucial for our learners to be equipped with the confidence and critical thinking skills to navigate the changing landscape of education, society and digital spaces.

And I’m proud to be a part of Akeela Dax an organization that prioritizes every aspect of our learners from academics to social-emotional health and self-awareness.

My time as a classroom teacher in the International Baccalaureate program has allowed me to witness first-hand the exceptional growth that comes from allowing learners to guide their educational experience.

It builds autonomy and ownership over their educational experiences, but most of all it fosters a deep love of learning that follows them throughout their entire life.

Isn’t that what we all want for our children, our learners and our future leaders?
